The latest Masters Tour season is in full swing and the new Core set is on it's way! What a fantastic time to be a Hearthstone player. The new Core set will be replacing both the Classic and Basic card sets in late March and the best part is every player who has progressed to level 10 on each class gets the entire set for FREE! If you are a player who aspires to become a pro through the Masters Tour, or you just want to be able to have fun on all Hearthstone servers, now is the time to start building your collection. Masters Tour events are split among all 3 available servers and some time zones may work out better for your play experience than others. Building out a collection on multiple servers also allows you to maximize your chances of a high finish in the Masters Tour Qualifier events. Today we will be discussing exactly how we can maximize our experience and gold on each server to make the most of what is available to us.
There are three servers we can play on. Americas (NA), Europe (EU), and Asia. Since our collection isn't shared between these servers we have to build one on each. What is the strategy we can employ to do this? Well I have the answer for you! Let's break our playing into chunks. Most players at this level play on a daily basis, or almost daily. If you fit this profile the best way to build is to rotate through the servers. Let's assume we have 3 daily quests and 3 weekly quests on each server. In this scenario we are not going to care about getting a ranked finish. Our primary objective is to clear all of our quests on each server without missing any. For us to be successful with this strategy it's best to reroll any quests, especially weekly, that we know we wont be able to complete. If I simply play constructed I have no use for a battlegrounds quest so lets get rid of it. We will start on NA. On Monday we can log in to our NA server account and complete our 3 daily quests and as much of our weekly quests as possible. We will do the same on Tuesday with EU and on Wednesday with Asia. Upon completion of our Asia quests on Wednesday we will have 2 daily quests accrued on NA and 1 on EU. We don't care about going back to those right now. The best thing we can do is play the Tavern Brawl on Asia and make sure we get our free pack for the week. We will start the cycle over again on Thursday. By doing this we guarantee we will have 3 daily quests to complete each time we log on to a server. At this point we also want to be sure to complete the Tavern Brawl in each region when we log in to be certain we are getting max rewards. We will finish our second cycle on Saturday giving us 2 days of play on each server. At this point we should've completed 6 daily quests and 3 weekly quests while also earning a pack through the Tavern Brawl on each server. Our strategy for the 7th day of the week will vary. We can either take the day off and lose out on rewards, we can finish up any remaining weekly quests if any exist, or we can start the cycle over again by moving back to NA where we have 3 daily quests waiting. Each option has its pros and cons. I personally prefer to just skip the 7th day and start fresh again from day 1, doing 2 cycles through. The reason is that rest can be much more important than continually maxing out your rewards. We don't want to get burnt out trying to build our collections. Following this strategy can allow you to reach the end of the rewards track in every region. Hitting that cap will net you the following:
- 5650 gold.
- 11 Card Packs from standard legal expansions
- 14 Non-Disenchantable Golden Cards
- 1 Non-Disenchantable Legendary Card
- 2 Legendary Cards.
- 1 Epic Card.
- 1 unique Card Back.
- 3 Tavern Tickets
- 1 Hero Skin
The rewards for the upcoming track reset will be slightly better than the previous track. You can see a chart of the differences here.
Once the track is completed you will be able to purchase at least 56 packs from gold when a new set releases. That's almost an entire small prerelease bundle! This is a significant amount of cards to build your collection on each server. A long term competitive player should have no problem building enough decks to compete when following these guidelines. A casual player will have an even easier time, as these rewards can be used to focus on building decks for the Wild format that will not rotate. I've been following this plan for the past few months and have seen a significant benefit from doing so. I will continue to follow this plan throughout the Barrens meta and report back on how my collections have been impacted. I hope you find this advice useful and I'd love to hear your thoughts.
