Updated: Feb 4, 2022

Hello! Welcome to our new AFG Weekly article series. Every week I’ll be catching up with players from our team to bring you some info and tips from our players! We are looking to bring more weekly content to you like replay review as well. If you’d like a chance to have your replay reviewed by our team please direct message us a link to your replay on twitter @AFlightGaming.

The Team

Itachi has been playing a lot of different decks on the ladder. He’s enjoying the wide variety of viable decks “even the ones that are ‘fun’ decks can pull off some flashy and consistent wins.” He found a neat interaction that Mo’arg Artificer doubles the damage dealt by the Lightning Invocation battlecry portion of Bru’kan of the Element’s effect but not when it is cast as a hero power. He’s also looking forward to Yu-Gi-Oh!’s new format that is very similar to Hearthstone’s wild format.

Doctorfeesh has been balancing learning Thief Rogue (aren’t we all 😅) and getting his 500 Druid & Mage win portraits! He did manage the Mage portrait already this week. Nicely done, Doc’! On a more personal note, he wants to remind everyone to think about one’s own limits as he has been doing recently and to evaluate commitments before making them. Outside of Hearthstone, he’s working on learning Jak X: Combat Racing in and out to add it to his speed-racing repertoire. You can find his Hearthstone content for THL with THL POW Podcast Tuesday nights, Tavern Talk on Wednesday, and operating their streams Thursday night for Wildin’ Out and Thursday Throwdown!

FairestBiscuit has been enjoying Beast Druid in both wild and standard as well as Deathrattle Priest in wild! He really enjoys going face and has been learning the ins and outs of applying pressure as the aggressor in match ups. Finding the balance of when to put on the gas and when to hold it for a second wave! Also he wants to remind you to always count your Deathrattle damage when playing that Priest!

BitBeaker has been building his collections on EU and Asia for qualifiers and wants to remind you all that consistency is key when building your collections! Finish those dailies! Send those qualifier packs where they need to go. He’s also been working on his fitness with a VR game called Supernatural. Expect more content coming from BitBeaker as he’s got guides and another newsletter in the works!

I have been jamming Thief Rogue as I try and grind for a qualifying finish this month. The Hearthstone Groundhog has seen its shadow and we have another couple weeks of Rogue. Remember the mirror is a fight for early tempo to push midgame damage and force out the opposing Scabbs. Being the player that can Scabbs in response to their opponent’s is typically in a great position to win the game!

Look forward to all sorts of new content coming from our team as we step into 2022! We’ve got lots of exciting plans for you this year. See you next week!
